About Schemaware

Schemaware is founded on the belief that lasting change comes from understanding the root of our patterns. Many of us carry childhood experiences and unmet needs into adulthood, shaping how we relate to ourselves and others.
The name Schemaware is a portmanteau combining “schema” and “aware,” which highlights:
  • Childhood experiences shape the way we think, feel, and relate.
  • Gaining awareness of these patterns fosters deep, lasting change.

Why Schemaware

At Schemaware, therapy is tailored to your needs and goals. While Schema Therapy forms the foundation, I also draw on evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, IPT, and DBT. Therapy can be short-term and practical, helping you manage emotions, improve relationships, and feel more in control in daily life. It can also be longer-term and deeper, supporting you to explore patterns rooted in early experiences for lasting change. Throughout, I meet you where you are and work with you towards where you want to be.

A Note on the Name Change (especially for my existing clients and referring doctors)

Schemaware was formerly Rewired Mind Psychology. Over time, my work and ongoing training have deepened my understanding of what creates meaningful, lasting change for clients. Seeing transformative results in the therapy room, Schema Therapy has become the foundation of my work while I integrate other evidence-based approaches to better suit each client’s needs. Schemaware is a name that better reflects both my therapeutic focus and the heart of my approach. It highlights my emphasis on developing awareness to emotional and behavioural patterns, as it has proven to be create lasting and meaningful changes.

Hi, I’m Crystal.

My therapeutic style is warm, genuine, and deeply attuned. I focus on creating a collaborative, safe, and trusting space where you can slow down, make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been unheard or unseen for too long.

I have been practising as a psychologist for nearly 10 years, delivering therapy across diverse settings including schools, communities, and both rural and urban areas. Over time, my work has deepened to focus on supporting clients with emotional challenges, relationship difficulties, and the lingering impact of early experiences.

Core Philosophy:
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real connection. It is important to me that you can share freely, including what helps you feel understood in the therapy space. I see therapy as an opportunity not just to manage symptoms, but to uncover the roots of struggles, make sense of your emotional world, heal old wounds, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Throughout therapy, I meet you where you are and work with you towards where you want to be, offering practical strategies alongside deeper experiential work to create meaningful, lasting change.
